I've been in tourist trappy Christian destination. That town literally scared me. As I toured "the holy land" all the tour leaders could talk about was how they couldn't wait for the rapture to come.

I was there with my parents about 40 years ago, when it wasn't nearly as built up as it is now. Is it still pleasant to visit, or is it just a total Bransonesque tourist trap?
Oh, it's not too Bransonesque. And I don't think any other town has quite the same peacefully coexisting mix of hippies, fundamentalist Christians, and big tough bikers.
